Definition: Sow: To impregnate (a
growing medium) with a
seed
Reap: To harvest, obtain as
a result effort
Scripture: Matthew 13:3-23 - parable
of the sower
Jesus used everyday, ordinary objects and situations to explain profound spiritual truths. We see this in the example of a farmer and his crop. No farmer can expect to harvest corn, if he has planted beans. Just as we can't expect to rake in the harvest, if we haven't planted seed.
Three important points about Sowing & Reaping
1. God is concerned with EVERY area
of your life, and that includes your
pocketbook, wallet, bank account,
CDs, investments, and
fiscal portfolio.
2. A great way to begin to put this
principle to work is through the
giving of tithes and offerings.
3. This principle can also transcend
financial situations. For example,
you can sow harmony and reap
unity.
