In the summer of 1980, Harry and Dorrine Jones and their three children, Patience, Isaac and Joy (Mark had not been born yet) moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to enter Rhema Bible Training Center. This would be the beginning of a whole new phase of ministerial training for the vision God had given them for a church. While there, the Joneses attended Grace Fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Bob Yandian. After two years of intensive study at Rhema, Harry became employed by Grace Fellowship Christian School as a teacher and Athletic Director. Harry and Dorrine served as counselors and functioned in other areas including the children's ministry, tape ministry and finance department.
In the summer of 1985, they returned to Media, PA to begin the work God called them to do. By fall of the year, a bible study was started in the home of a local couple in Media. With four adults and four children, this became the humble beginnings of what would become Abounding Grace Family Worship Center. As time went on, the bible study grew as the Word of God was taught by Harry and Dorrine. On Sunday, April 26, 1986, the first worship service was held in the Media Inn located on Providence Road and Baltimore Pike. A word of prophecy came that day through a guest Pastor that "the church would be an oasis of love and a lighthouse for the area. This love would flow and cause healing to come to those who had been wounded." Four weeks later, God moved on the heart of an Oklahoma businessman to send $5,000 for the ministry to operate. God had supernaturally proven to Pastor Harry that the name "Abounding" (super abundant in quantity and superior in quality), would be the foundation mark for the years to come (II Cor. 9:8).
Pastors Harry and Dorrine believe that the family is to be the center of God's plan in the earth. The thrust and vision of the ministry is family oriented. Abounding Grace is a teaching ministry with a four-fold vision. Today Abounding Grace Ministries is seeing the fulfillment of the vision as a family church, a worship center, a spiritual hospital and a training center.
On September 18, 2011 the Lord promoted our leaders to the next level of ministry. Pastor Dorrine Jones was ordained to the office of prophet and installed as the Sr. Pastor of Abounding Grace Family Worship Center. Pastor Harry Jones was elevated to Apostle and overseer of Abounding Grace.
